For an innovative traffic management project to reduce carbon emission and improve the traffic flow, I-Real has been asked to implement a solution for remote monitoring and control of the traffic lights.

Each traffic light has been set up as a location within the RealM2M process information system; by defining recipes multiple traffic lights can execute the same program simultaneously.

For example; before the start of a big event (concert, sporting event) inbound traffic will be given priority. After the event another recipe will be applied to give outbound traffic priority.

This contributes to the overall objectives of the traffic management project; less carbon emission and a better traffic flow.
