The RealM2M software consists of three components:

• The web-based application; the front-end for the users;

• The communication server; handles the communication between the RealM2M system and the remote devices

• The database server; storage of actual and historical data

Implementation

The RealM2M software can be implemented within existing infrastructures; the related processes and data can be fully integrated within the corporate information management system and processes.

I-Real also offers RealM2M in a Software as a Service (SaaS) model; the application is hosted on a web server owned by I-Real. Clients are authorised for the use of RealM2M as a service on demand.

Communication

RealM2M is able to communicate real-time with remote plants, machines or devices on any given time.

The remote objects are fitted with an operating system or measure equipment; RealM2M connects with the object (or vice versa) by the phone network (landline or mobile) and the measured values or commands are sent.

Within RealM2M the data is visualised. All data and events are stored and can be retrieved by authorised users.

Alarms

In case of an alarm the system is able to send an email or text message.

The user accesses RealM2M through a browser interface and is able to undertake adequate action.
