RealM2M is a process information system which is characterised by a number of unique functionalities which can be optimised to match with the individual requirements of our clients.

RealM2M consists of the following key components:

GIS viewer

I-Real has developed a GIS viewer which can be compared with Google Maps and offers immediate overview and insight in the status of each location. Faults and warnings at locations can be visualised by colour codes.

Extensive navigation options provide actual information for each location and by importing map layers the user can (de)select themes in order to provide the user substantial control over the appearance of the data.

Diagram

A diagram will be available for each location/plant/machine which is configured within RealM2M. Not only the actual data is shown in these representations; the user can also drill down to the various components and take over the control, change setting etc.

Alarm Management

RealM2M features an extensive Alarm Management module. All types of alarms can be predefined; based on priority settings alerts are sent through either email, text or pager messages.

To ensure these alert messages are sent to the qualified (group of) people, week/month/shift/leave schedules and escalation points can be set within RealM2M.

Reporting

The reporting functionality within RealM2M provides the most requested information in the required format.

Both exporting data from the reports and including imported data within the reports is possible.

Charts

With RealM2M all monitored data can be visualised within charts; for a better understanding of relationships between parts of data, it is possible to display multiple dimensions.

Real-time Control

With the Real-time Control module it is possible to automatically control devices based on actual data.

For example: if the water at location X has reached a certain level, activate pump at location Y. These procedures can be predefined within RealM2M making the infrastructure management a more efficient process.

Extended Import

Next to the standard import functionality for predefined file formats, RealM2M offers an Extended Import. This functionality can be utilised to import data with a different format from multiple locations or to a selected location.

With the assistance of a wizard the user can specify the explicit characteristics of a file; for each format a configuration file is stored and will be used each time this type of file is imported.

Communication Usage

The Communication Usage module is developed to provide better insight in all usage costs which are made by communicating with devices. If these usage costs exceed the cost of the used plan, immediate action can be undertaken. This usage can be measured for GPRS/UMTS, GSM/SMS traffic, analogue as well as ISDN lines.

Service Management

To control planning and budget it is important to be able to access all information regarding the status of devices and the service history of devices and objects. I-Real's Service Management module provides this functionality and can be fully integrated with RealM2M but can also be implemented separately.

Data Validation & Manipulation

Measurements of different locations can be verified using the Data Validation module. Based on validation rules (for example minimum and maximum values) the results are automatically checked.

Other validations which can be configured are tests on extreme low or high values, tests on cross-correlation/anti-correlation and zero-point drifts. The value is given a label specifying the status of that value (Approved, Uncertain, Rejected). After this automated primary validation further analysis of the values can be undertaken by the responsible officer running different tests. Ranges of values can be validated based on log file items as well.

Additionally, this module offers the option to manipulate (a selection of) measurements.

System Administration

RealM2M's System Administrator module consists of the following components:

• User administration: an administrator is able to grant access and authorisations for each user;

• Chart editor; charts can be created, modified and deleted;

• Report editor; reports can be created, modified and deleted;

• Diagram editor; diagrams can be created, modified and deleted;

• GIS editor; GIS maps can be created, modified and deleted;
