Gas meters

A major energy distributor has implemented RealM2M to monitor gas usage for business clients.

Within RealM2M a location is set up per business client. All locations appear on the GIS overview map and can be accessed through this map. A location is visualised with a diagram; actual readings and other relevant data are shown as well.

RealM2M reads each gas meter hourly through a GPRS connection. The readings are automatically validated by RealM2M to check if no irregular values are sent; the readings are then made available to the users by visualising these through reports and charts.

All information is available through a web browser.

GPRS coverage was one of the challenges of this project; for some locations antenna amplifiers had to be used.
